This poem is inspired by the biphobia that a lot of bisexuals, including myself, face. Unfortunately, quite a bit of that biphobia can come from within the LGBTQ+ community itself, with people thinking that bisexuals are either lesbian or straight — but that’s not the case. Since it’s Pride Month, I wanted to explore something that feels important to me.
